In haar brief vraagt The Duchess aandacht voor de op stapel staande Children's Hospice Week en voor de East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH), waar ze sinds 2012 patroon voor is.
Middleton onderstreept het belang van quality time met de familie en stipt aan dat 'for those caring for children with life limiting conditions, even this simple act can prove to be incredibly challenging.'
Ze vervolgde haar schrijven met een aantal pluimen voor kinderhospices en palliatieve zorg in de UK. 'This support gives these families the space they need to simply spend time together, which is so important in the most difficult times imaginable,' aldus Middleton.
Afsluitend bracht ze Children's Hospice Week ter tafel, dat tot 29 mei duurt. Ze schrijft: 'We need to help these families treasure their precious time together.'
