De Oscar-nominaties zijn bekendgemaakt! En wat betreft aantallen mag La La Land alvast met z'n pauwenveren gaan pronken. De muzikale liefdesbrief aan Het Oude Hollywood, geregisseerd door de piepjonge (in regisseurstermen dan hè) Damien Chazelle, glundert met 14 nominaties bovenaan de lijst van meest genomineerde films aller tijden.
Acedemy-voorzitter Cheryl Boone Isaacs maakte de nominaties via een videoboodschap bekend, en kreeg daarbij hulp van een heleboel gezichten waaronder die van Brie Larson en Jennifer Hudson.
De Oscar-ceremonie zelf zal traditiegetrouw op de 26e van februari plaatsvinden in het Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
